Job description:
NICU Manager is to exercise primary responsibility for the operational, clinical and educational functions of the work area. Plans programs that facilitate the development of staff and will delegate portions of this responsibility to subordinates. While maintaining a team approach to the shared responsibilities, functions independently as needed in all aspects of the work area. Supervises support staff. Collaborates with other work area staff to achieve the goals and objectives of the work area. Maintains skills of the staff to initiate and carry out ethical discourse. Ensures that all policies/procedures are age and /or developmentally appropriate. Functions as a change agent. Demonstrates commitment to a patient and family focused model of care.

Job Requirements
Education, training, experience:
Minimum Experience Required: BSN. Two years of recent NICU experience. Preferred: 2 years previous supervisory experience; previous fiscal management experience
