Clinical Nurse Manager - Surgical Pavilion

You won’t find many places in California, or for that matter the world, like Marin County. Located on the north side of the Golden Gate Bridge, we are home to the magnificently rugged Northern California coastline and the towering redwoods of Muir Woods. Located in Greenbrae, CA, Marin General Hospital is the largest acute care, independent hospital in Marin County. We provide primary and secondary levels of care in addition to the Marin Cancer Institute and the Marin Heart Institute. Services include a Level III Trauma Center and a full complement of acute care and ancillary services such as neonatal intensive care, pediatrics, a family birth center, adult psychiatric units, and cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology laboratories.

The Clinical Nurse Manager – Surgical Pavilion provides leadership and direction to an assigned group within established objectives and policies and ensures coordinated working relationships among staff, physicians and other hospital departments through the alignment of resources with patient/customer and staff needs. This position promotes Service Excellence to improve patient care and customer service. In addition, the Clinical Nurse Manager solves problems and makes decisions using a consensus-based solution that serves the patient/customer, physicians and staff and secures the organization's long-term ability to serve. This person also recruits the best people to serve our patients/customers.

Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:
• California RN license required
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field required with a concentration in Surgical Nursing from an accredited nursing program preferred
• Current valid California RN license
• 3-5 years’ experience in acute Surgical Nursing
• 5 years’ management experience
• Expert knowledge of key Perioperative standards and compliance specifications (AORN, ASPAN, Title-22, OSHA, The Joint Commission, etc.)
• Experience within a union environment
• Experience in data management and analysis
• Current BLS-HP certification
