Job description:
An exciting career opportunity for Nurse Director of Perinatal Services is now available with a prestigious hospital in the Central Valley, California. This 400 plus bed hospital is a member of reputable non-profit health system that has been voted top ten in the country. The hospital is financially stable and is still growing with a new wing being completed in late 2012.

The Nurse Director of Women and Infants Services will manage a busy department currently averaging over 340 deliveries per month. The labor and delivery unit handles high-risk deliveries and there is a Level III NICU onsite. There are 15 LDRs in Labor and Delivery and 35 semi private postpartum beds.

Reporting to the nurse Director of Maternal Child Health are the Nurse Manager of Women and Infants Services and Nurse Manager of NICU. The Nursing Director of Perinatal Services will have total responsibility for approximately 100 FTEs.

The Women and Infants department has an experienced team of nurses who are very committed and have a strong sense of teamwork. Physician relations are also extremely important and the medical staff interacts very well with the nursing department. Because of this collaborative environment, excellent care is delivered and patient satisfaction scores are extremely high.

The Nursing Director will earn a generous base salary and will be eligible for comprehensive benefits package.
